Held twice a year in Florence, Pitti Uomo is one of the most influential menswear trade shows globally, setting the tone for upcoming seasonal trends across tailoring, casualwear, outerwear and contemporary lifestyle fashion. The event attracts leading international brands, buyers, designers and industry experts, making it a key platform for identifying emerging commercial directions as well as directional design innovation.
The January 2026 edition offered valuable insight into the Autumn/Winter 26 menswear landscape, highlighting shifts in fabric, colour, styling and sustainability that will shape future collections across both premium and mainstream markets.
A/W26 Menswear Trends Overview
Pitti Uomo January 26 didn’t disappoint with healthy visitor numbers and the support of many leading European men’s fashion brands.
The Pitti “Peacocks” (Instagram influencers, models and fashionistas) were again on display, adding a touch of glamour to the occasion.

The show focused predominantly on the Autumn/Winter 26 seasonal fashion opportunity across multiple categories;
- Catwalk experimental
- Formal haute couture
- Semi-formal
- Smart casual
- Casual
Italian fashion house Bruno Cuccinelli was an anchor tenant layering sheepskin and shearling-trimmed jackets with wide peak-lapel blazers and pleated trousers in warm, earthy tones, softened by cable knits and denim shirts.
Colour and Styling Trends
Elsewhere, colour palettes varied enormously from traditional Autumnal leafy shades of rich browns, terracotta and berry, burgundy tones while pale beiges and whites, especially on bottoms, were in stark contrast to the seasonal norm.
Aside from the more overtly formal presentation, US Western style continues to feature heavily with brands like Filson and Woolrich promoting a US ranch workwear aesthetic, mixing flannel check shirts with chunky knits under waxed cotton outerwear. Alpine country styles also provided a Tyrolean twist.
Fabric, Texture and Sustainability Trends
Corduroy in a variety of wale widths remained prominent in many collections, often paired with natural cotton and linen jackets and shirts. The benefits of sustainable wool, cotton and other plant-based fabrics were also showcased by many brands, emphasising the need for continued environmental consideration.
British brands were also on parade with notable presentations from Barbour, Aquascutumn, Invertere, Mackintosh and Charles Tyrwhitt.
